ABOUT THE PROM
Music by Matthew Sklar
Lyrics by Chad Beguelin
Book by Bob Martin and Chad Beguelin

Inspired by a true story, The PROM follows Emma Nolan, an Indiana highschooler who wants only one thing before she graduates: to dance with her girlfriend at the senior prom. After hearing that she’s been barred from doing so, a group of eccentric, self-absorbed and somewhat clueless Broadway actors infiltrate Emma’s small town in an earnest, misguided attempt to fight the injustice.
The PROM premiered on Broadway in November 2018, winning the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Musical and receiving six Tony Award nominations.
